New guidance explains the evidence assessors look for when a learning activity is delivered asynchronously, and how completion is distinguished from achievement.
We have updated the guidance on evidencing learning outcomes. It is aimed at providers delivering asynchronous or self paced learning, where attendance records cannot be used as evidence that an outcome was met.
The guidance draws a clear line between completion and achievement. A record showing that a learner reached the end of a module evidences completion. Evidencing achievement of a stated outcome requires an assessment activity mapped to that outcome.
It also covers proportionality. A short awareness level activity is not expected to carry the same assessment burden as a multi day programme, and the guidance gives worked examples at both ends of that range.
The guidance is advisory. It explains how assessors interpret the Standards, and it does not add requirements beyond those the Standards already set.

Accredited providers can now complete this year's annual review. The review confirms that accredited activities are still delivered as described in the original submission.
The accredited provider register can now be searched by learning activity title and by accreditation reference, not only by provider name.
